- Have a tireless advocate for Nevada’s school children on the House Education and Workforce Committee
- Secure important federal funding for Clark County’s rapidly growing school district
Protect Our Communities and Preserve Our Natural Resources:
- Lead the fight against bringing hazardous nuclear waste to Yucca Mountain as Chairman of the House Government Reform Subcommittee on Federal Workforce and Agency Organization
- Balance preservation of our property rights with protection of Southern Nevada’s vast natural resources
Secure Important Funds to Meet Our Transportation and Infrastructure Needs:
- Address the need for key transportation and infrastructure investments for our expanding communities as a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee
Stand With Nevadans Who Protect and Serve:
- Honor America’s active servicemen and women, and our veterans here at home
- Make it a federal crime, with a minimum of 30 years in jail, to kill, attempt to kill, or conspire to kill a public safety officer
- Provide strong support for our local police, fire and emergency services personnel
- Toughen national penalties for drugged drivers, bringing them in line with Nevada’s tough state laws
Strengthen National Security:
- Maintain a strong national defense that keeps our homeland safe
- Strengthen the security of our borders with a commitment to hiring and training more border security agents
